It is mainly used in blast furnace, hot blast stove, carbon roaster, carbon calcination. Furnace, coke oven, steel drum, casting system, boiler, cement kiln, glass kiln and various kiln lining and thermal equipment, suitable for metallurgy, machinery, building materials, casting, ceramics, electric power, petroleum, chemical, etc. industry.
Aluminosilicate refractory products having a content of Al2O3 (Al2O3) higher than 48%. If the Al2O3 content is higher than 90%, it is called corundum brick. Due to different resources, national standards are not completely consistent. For example, in Europe, the lower limit of Al2O3 content for high alumina refractories is 42%. In China, the Al2O3 content in high alumina bricks is usually divided into three grades: I, etc. - Al2O3 content > 75%; II, etc. - Al2O3 content is 60 ~ 75%; III, etc. - Al2O3 content is 48 ~ 60%.
According to the resource conditions and product requirements, the following types of raw materials can be used: high alumina bauxite composed mainly of hydrous aluminous minerals (gibbite, gibbsite, etc.); sillimanite minerals (including blue) Spar, beryl, sillimanite, etc.; synthetic raw materials, such as industrial alumina, synthetic mullite, fused corundum and so on. China's high-alumina vanadium is rich in resources and excellent in texture, and its production areas are mainly distributed in Shanxi, Henan, Hebei, Guizhou and Shandong. The high alumina bauxite produced is mainly a mixture of gibbsite (α-Al2O3·H2O) and kaolinite.
The high alumina bauxite is calcined in a rotary kiln or a shaft kiln, and the sintering temperature is 1500 to 1700 °C. The well-sintered alumina has a water absorption rate of generally 4 to 7%.
